Godag from Copenhagen. My (Liz) turn to write up for the blog. We’ve been stunned by the heat here in Denmark, highs all day of 28C, some epic sweating has been taking place. Yesterday we walked around the city, visited the famous little mermaid (and the loads of tourists around it) and its neighboring fort.

Next stop was the botanical gardens and after a half hour trek following the outer gates we finally found the entrance.
The heat wore us down enough to force us into an hour long nap in amongst the gardens, can’t complain
Today’s adventures included far less walking and much more relaxing. After seeking out the perfect swim spot last night we headed there straight after breakfast.
A series of multi level boardwalks create the perfect place for locals and tourists to soak in the sun and dive into the fresh Danish sea.
And a 7m high kayak slide served a mint height for boys to show off their tricks and Aaron to prove he can jump from a higher point then I.
Tonight we hit Tivoli, Copenhagen’s resident amusement park. In a relatively small area they manage to pack in hundreds of stalls and themed areas which create a cute and amusing atmosphere for families.
Tomorrow will be more swimming and sunbathing in the heat and then jumping on our overnight cruise through the Skagerrak to reach our mid destination, Oslo.
